NEW TBALL/COACH PITCH ALTERNATIVE!
Age Groups: For Ages 7 & Under, Boys & Girls
Cost: $100.00 Per Month
What You Get: Hat, Practice Shirt, 2 practices per week, and 2 games per week (Mid February-Mid May). Coaches will be hired coaches from our coaching staff here. They will learn the true fundamentals of baseball, including advanced teaching of the game itself without standing around getting bored!
Advanced Rules: We will play like the pros (as best as we can). As we go we will modify the game but we will teach lead offs, bunting, coverages, etc.
Big West is hoping to form what we are calling “Lil West”- an alternative baseball developmental league format for boys and girls ages 7 and under. This league will give the kids an opportunity to be coached and taught under professional coaches (not forced volunteers) where everyone is treated equal, and they get to play under advanced rules (leading off, etc.). Here just a few of our goals for this group:
- FUN!-damentals of Baseball 101– starting with the way you put your cap on, and tuck in your jersey!
- Development 101– Training from catching, throwing, and hitting using safety baseballs, etc.
- Baseball Smartypants– Baseball IQ Training teaching them terminology, positions, etc.
- Pitchers & Catchers– Early pitching techniques and allowing certain kids to pitch & catch after being properly taught and we deem they are ready.
- FUN FUN FUN– No standing around getting bored. We will make this fun for them!
- Letting them Play Like Pros- We will mix in advanced MLB rules and let them do as much as we can from leading off, to bunting, stealing, etc! We want them all going home with dirty uniforms!
- New Team, New Friends Every Week- We will mix up the group every week
Interest List is Now Forming! This has been a dream of ours for a while now but we can’t do this until we have enough kids to form at least 2 teams to mix up & play every week. So if you have any interest, please visit the page and drop us your info! We are hoping to start Mid to late February & we can run this as long as everyone wants.
