We have Nationally & State ranked elite level travel baseball showcase teams that play tournaments across the country at each age group starting as young as 8U and we participate in every major sanctioned organization including but not limited to AAU, USSSA, Triple Crown, Xtreme Diamond Sports to name a few. Our travel baseball teams compete at the highest level of travel baseball. A typical tournament travel baseball team will play 2-3 travel baseball tournaments per month typically within our traveling boundaries in and around the Greater Los Angeles area. Orange County, Riverside & Los Angeles County is a hot bed for an abundance of top level competitive travel baseball teams & clubs.
Our National teams as well as regular Elite & Premier level teams will play out of state events all over the Country. In 2018/19 Season, we had teams representing Big West BPA in Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, South Carolina, & Nebraska to name a few.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ELITE, PREMIERE OR SELECT TEAMS?
We have 2 level teams we consider advanced within our program. "Elite" being the highest level team and "Premier" being very close and just a slight notch below. There is not a lot of difference in raw talent between the 2 level teams. In fact, some of our Premier level players may physically/athletically be ranked higher than a kid on an Elite team. But the biggest separator will be the IQ or knowledge side of the game that will determine where an athlete will be placed. Players on both team will also be mixed within the Elite & Premier program to promote continued development. Example- A kid on elite may not pitch on the Elite team, but will play with Premier in some events in order to get their work in on the mound. Same goes for infielders and outfielders. Some kids play exclusively outfield on Elite, but will get to play infield with Premier.
ELITE= Advanced in fundamentals & skills with an above average understanding of the game (advanced baseball IQ). These teams typically play tournaments (local, regional & National) exclusively in much faster pace of play than recreational leagues or All Stars. These are kids that are executing play consistently in games with things such as, executing defensive coverage & relays, hitting their cutoff man, running advanced defensive plays (timing & daylight pickoffs, understand defensive coverages- priorities on relays, rundowns, pop up priorities, bunt coverages, pitcher coverages & backups, etc.), understand base running such as primary & secondary leadoffs, know how to read a baseball out of the pitchers hand, can execute sacrifice offense, know when to tag, when go out halfway, and how read throws before advancing. These are just a handful of things we expect from our ELITE team players.
Note: The ELITE team players do not necessarily consist of the best hitters or hardest throwing pitchers. These players are simply put- our most all around polished players who understand the game the best.
PREMIERE= Average to Above Average fundamentals & skills with a general understanding of the game. These teams typically will consist of quality (Recreational and/or All Star players new to travel baseball) baseball talent (kids with natural raw talent offensively and defensively), however they are still learning to play the game at a much faster pace of play, and are still learning the knowledge side of the game.
