Jared Sandler: BPA Founder & Director High School/College Prep 13U & Older

Sandler manages the coordination of all BPA activities, overseeing both the strategic and day-to-day operations of the program. He spearheads the development and execution of BPA’s comprehensive training and development curriculum, ensuring that players are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and mindset necessary to succeed at the highest levels of competition. Additionally, Sandler leverages an extensive national network of college coaches, scouts, and professional contacts to provide unparalleled exposure and next-level opportunities for BPA players, helping them achieve their athletic and academic goals.

Sandler’s journey as a player began at Glendale Junior College, where he honed his skills before transferring to San Jose State University. There, he was instrumental in leading the Spartans to their first-ever College World Series appearance in 2000, playing a key role as a dominant left-handed pitcher. Following his collegiate success, Sandler continued his career in professional baseball with the San Angelo Colts.

Inspired by his experiences and a passion for developing future talent, Sandler founded BPA with the vision of creating a program that combines elite instruction, player development, and mentorship. His commitment to fostering an environment of growth and opportunity has been a driving force behind BPA’s reputation as a premier organization for aspiring baseball players.

 

Justin Bray - Head Coach, Youth Baseball Director 12 & Under Teams

Justin Bray has been an integral part of BPA for over a decade, dedicating more than 10 years to coaching and mentoring youth baseball players. With a deep passion for developing young athletes, Justin has played a pivotal role in shaping BPA’s youth programs, focusing on skill development, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.

Known for his ability to connect with players of all ages, Justin’s coaching philosophy centers around building strong fundamentals, fostering confidence, and encouraging a competitive yet supportive environment. His years of experience have made him a trusted mentor who consistently helps players reach their potential both on and off the field.

Grant Hunner - Head Coach, Director of Coaching & Curriculum 12 & Under Teams

Coach Grant Hunner serves as BPA Youth Programs's Director of Coaching and Curriculum, bringing over 20 years of combined collegiate and coaching experience to the program. In this leadership role, Grant oversees the development and implementation of BPA’s comprehensive training programs while managing and mentoring the coaching staff. His commitment to excellence and deep understanding of the game have established BPA as a premier destination for player development.

Grant is known for his meticulous approach to building training curriculums that emphasize both skill development and advanced baseball IQ. He ensures players are not only physically prepared but also equipped with the mental acuity to succeed in high-pressure situations. His focus on strategy, situational awareness, and decision-making sets BPA athletes apart on the field.

As a leader, Grant works closely with the coaching staff to align their teaching methods with BPA’s core philosophy, fostering consistency and innovation across all levels of the program. His dedication to player and coach development has made him a trusted mentor and a key figure in BPA’s mission to help athletes reach their full potential.

Our support coaching staff consists of highly experienced instructors who bring a wealth of first-hand knowledge from their extensive coaching and playing careers. Each member of the team has either competed in collegiate baseball, coached at an advanced level, or played professionally, providing them with the expertise to mentor players aiming for excellence.
